Research Board
In order to be able to select contributions for the Subversive Fair in as differentiated way as possible, we decided to install a Research Board. The RB will be made up of the following experts:
Alejandra Aravena, CL:
The Chilean activist is director of Radio Numero Critico which has been broadcast since 2001 via radiowaves and also the internet. But Avarena started her practice long before, a practice that combines radio and lesbian political activism with the work of international feminist networks. The broadcasts of Radio Numero Critico are structured around a series of debates engaging with issues that do not arise within the public news, such as feminist analysis of society, and news about political prisoners, women’s sexual rights and lesbian organizations.
Gini Müller, AT:
Austrian theatre scholar, performance artist and drama adviser.
2001-2004: VolxTheaterKarawane, activist theatre and media project for the public space: Genua 2001 (IT), documenta 2002 (Kassel, GER), noborderlab 03 taking place in AustrianSocialForum/Hallein and Romania and Festival of the Regions (Upper Austria) and in Graz. Lecturing in "performative pratices" und transgender studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna Austria. From 2003 member of the performance band SV Damenkraft; in 2006 "genderfuck-deluxe-Tour" together with the "Sissy Boyz" from Bremen (GER). In 2007, project "Queer Orlando".
Marianne Huber, AT:
Diplomsozialarbeiterin, Theaterpädagogin
Geb.: 1976, seit 8 Jahren in der Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Obdachlose tätig, Fachbereich: Wohnbegleitung für Männer, Gründung des Projektes „ARGE Theater“ 2006 mit (ehemals) wohnungslosen Menschen, „Konsum macht Dumm“ – Forumtheateraufführung Pflasterspektakel 2007, Mitglied der Forumtheatergruppe Linz, 2 Sommer Sennerin in Gastein.
Dmitry Vilensky, RU:
1964, lives in St. Petersburg. Artist and cultural activist. In 2003 he initiated the platform "Chto delat?/What is to be done?” Editor of the newspaper of the same name (also makes graphic artwork and lay-out for the newspaper – www.chtodelat.org). Works mostly in a framework of interdisciplinary collective practices in the mediums video, photography, text, installations and interventions into public space. Participant of many exhibitions and conferences. He has taught in several institutions and programs in 2007, such as Copenhagen Art Academy, the Staedelschule, Frankfurt am Main, Cultural Studies Program, Malmo, FRAME Finnish Fund for Art Exchange in collaboration with Art Academy, Helsinki and others.
Alain Bieber, DE:
Biber graduated in rhetorics, political science, sociology and literature in Tübingen and Paris. In 2003 he founded the rebel:art media foundation, publisher and platform for art, culture and politics. Further projects are: OH! - Das Videomagazin, der Internationale Stickeraward and the Blanko-Magazin. In his spare time, Bieber gives lectures about subversive strategies, helps as jury member (Memefest - International Festival For Radical Communication; Backup Medienkunstfestival, Weimar, and occasionally works as editorial journalist for "ART - Das Kunstmagazin" in Hamburg.
