The How Much Placards were included in Subliminal Seduction, an event held along London’s Oxford Street in 2008. Each of the 10 placards that Lehan held aloft, asked shoppers to question the emotional cost of consumerism. Why were they spending their cash, adding to their credit bills, possibly spending beyond their means?  In response to a placard that read – How Much Will You Spend To Make Someone Love You – someone yelled out £5.00!  A man seemed very annoyed that there were no questions marks at the end of each slogan, and an Italian said that English people could NEVER spend enough to make themselves feel happy.
