Pavilion
"In my work I deal with the problems of construction and deconstruction in the phases of the production of the work and in the work’s interaction with the public. I analyse conduct and communication by the construction of temporary, basic architectural units with fundamental geometrical elements. I think of the space through several aspects: as a basic experiential physical space, as a symbolic space of social interaction, as aesthetic space and the designed space of the work of art." Margareta Lekic (HR), eingereicht am 22.07.2008The definition of architecture usually concerns an architectural object that has a function (living space, sport…). If architecture is not used it loses its function and becomes a “wall“. By that, we can conclude that architecture “lives“ only with the presence of people. “By the contemporary understanding, architecture is total, it includes range “from a spoon to a house““.¹
“Pavilion“ is a circular architectural work that will occupy a certain public space.
After placing the yellow circle on a public surface, I will examine and note the reactions of visitors in “Pavilion“. Do they enter or bypass its borders? Do they notice it and are they aware of passing through it? The ones who enter the circle substantiate “Pavilion“ as a space that vivifies the presence of people.
